iWork to Knockout Cancer
Saturday, Sept. 30th and Sunday Oct 1st, iWork Basketball hosted its second annual “iWork to Knockout Cancer” Knockout Tournament at Our Lady Star of the Sea in Staten Island New York. Last year more than one hundred and fifty kids from across Staten Island showed up to play multiple rounds of the popular game Knockout. Last year the tournament raised more than $8000. All monies raised were donated to local families battling cancer through nominations submitted by the Staten Island community. This year we raised more than $10,000! Half of those proceeds were given to a local group, Sunrise Day Camp.
This camp is specifically designed for kids with cancer and their family members. The remaining proceeds went to local families battling cancer.
“iWork to Knockout Cancer” is a tremendous opportunity and a fun way for the community to help families impacted and assist with the great financial burden placed on them. Participants, both young and old, competed in one of several divisions to claim a spot as a Knockout Champion in this fun and entertaining game while helping to raise money for an important cause.
